QR Code Styler — Privacy Policy

QR Code Styler is a Chrome extension published by BamBam LLC ("we", "us", or "our"). This privacy policy explains what data the extension accesses and how it is handled.

1. No Data Collection

QR Code Styler does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers. We have no analytics, no telemetry, and no cloud processing. The extension operates entirely on your device.

2. What the Extension Accesses

Current tab URL. The extension reads the URL of the active tab to generate a QR code for that page. This URL is used locally to create the QR code and is never transmitted to any server.

Selected text. When you use the right-click context menu to create a QR code from selected text, the extension reads that text locally. It is not transmitted or stored externally.

Uploaded images. If you upload a logo image, it is processed entirely on your device to embed in the QR code. No uploaded images are transmitted to any server.

3. Local Storage

The extension stores the following data locally on your device using Chrome's storage API:

• Pro status — whether you have activated a Pro licence
• Activation code — your redeemed Pro activation code
• QR code history — previously generated QR codes with thumbnails and nicknames
• Saved templates — your saved style configurations (Pro feature)
• Settings — your configured preferences (colours, styles, themes)

This data never leaves your device. Uninstalling the extension removes all stored data.

4. Permissions

The extension requests the following Chrome permissions:

• Active Tab — required to read the current tab's URL for QR code generation
• Context Menus — required to add the "Create QR Code" option to the right-click menu
• Storage — required to save your QR history, templates, and settings locally
• Host permission (xatr-zu7c-us3r.n7d.xano.io) — required to validate Pro activation codes and create checkout sessions. No browsing data or QR code data is sent to this host.

5. Pro Activation

When you redeem a Pro activation code, the extension sends only the activation code to our backend API to verify its validity. No personal information, browsing data, or QR code data is included in this request.

6. Third-Party Services

The extension itself does not use any third-party services during normal operation. QR codes are generated entirely on your device. Pro activation codes are validated through our backend API. 7. Children's Privacy

This extension is not directed to children under 13. It does not collect any personal information from anyone.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
