OpenClaw Guardrails — Privacy Policy

OpenClaw Guardrails is a Chrome extension published by BamBam LLC ("we", "us", or "our"). This privacy policy explains what data the extension accesses and how it is handled.

1. No Data Collection

OpenClaw Guardrails does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers. We have no analytics, no telemetry, and no cloud processing. The extension operates entirely on your device.

2. What the Extension Accesses

Page content. The extension reads visible text content from web pages you visit in order to scan for prompt injection threats. This text is analysed locally using the vard detection library. No page content ever leaves your browser.

Page DOM. The extension may modify the page DOM to inject warning banners or block overlays when threats are detected, and to hide email send buttons if that feature is enabled. These modifications are visible only in your browser session.

The extension stores the following data locally on your device using Chrome's storage API:

This data never leaves your device. You can clear your scan history at any time from the extension popup. Uninstalling the extension removes all stored data.

OpenClaw Guardrails does not use any third-party services, APIs, or external servers. All detection is performed locally using the vard library, which is bundled with the extension.
