Metal Identifier - Privacy Policy

BamBam LLC ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Metal Identifier mobile application (the "App"). This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the App.
1. Information We Collect
Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address or the profile information provided by Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In (name and email). This is used solely to identify your account and sync your scan history and purchases across devices.
Photos and images. When you use the App to identify metals, you take or upload a photo which is sent to our servers for analysis. Images are processed in real time and are not permanently stored on our servers. We do not use your images for any purpose other than providing the metal identification result.
Usage data. We track your scan count (number of scans remaining) to manage your free and subscription quotas. This data is associated with your account.
Purchase information. In-app subscription purchases are processed by Google Play or the Apple App Store. We receive confirmation of your subscription status through RevenueCat, our subscription management provider. We do not have access to your payment method details.
Crash and diagnostic data. We use Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash reports and diagnostic information to improve app stability. This data is anonymous and does not include personal information.
2. How We Use Your Information

- To improve app stability and fix bugs
- To respond to support requests
3. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Firebase (Google) for authentication, data storage, and crash reporting (Privacy Policy)
- RevenueCat for subscription management (Privacy Policy)
- OpenRouter for AI-powered metal identification (Privacy Policy)
- Google Play / Apple App Store for in-app purchase processing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any other third parties.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your account data and scan quota are stored securely in Google Cloud Firestore. All data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you wish to have your account and data deleted, contact us at admin@bambamhq.com and we will remove it within 30 days.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Request access to the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction or deletion of your personal data
- Request export of your personal data in a portable format
- Delete your account at any time
7. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
